Bittersweet and Beautiful.
Rolling over and not seeing your face was just the escape I was looking for. You had a way of making everything okay, but the chaos that followed always knocked on my door. Kaleidoscope hearts were always beautiful and breakable, and you had clumsy fingers with mine. Shattered on the floor it still looked beautiful, but it was a mess that was only mine. Hear me, you never did. manifested your own destruction. Blame it on me, but I was never in the drivers seat. Sitting second row oh, the stories you told, the future you hold never had me. I think part of you wanted to believe that I was the breath that would complete. Easier to wish something, and will it your way but love doesn’t work that way. You cannot fit it in the mold, if the pieces don’t fit.
I was a heart, and you were a man that couldn’t commit.
